Project Explanation

For this project we had to create a board game for the second graders at the new High Tech Elementary school. When we were first assigned this project we went to the second graders classroom and interviewed them, we asked them what they liked in a board game and some of their favorite movies for inspiration and a theme. From there each group made a unique new board game using circuitry and photoshop!

Reflection

I enjoyed this project, I learned new things about circuitry, photoshop, and working in groups. In order to create the actual board design we had to use photoshop. Our board design didn’t turn out perfect but I believe it’s the effort that counts. We also had to do circuitry, although I’m not the one that soldered for our board I helped in mapping out the circuit to make sure it would work. Photoshop and circuitry are two things I had never really worked with before this project. One thing we struggled with in the beginning was working together as a group, but we pushed through it and get along just fine now! I’m happy with how everything turned out, although it’s not perfect I’m still proud. Hopefully the second graders will agree and enjoy playing the game.
